Grantham, PA - Messiah College took all nine matches with Stevenson University in women's tennis to move to 4-2 in the Commonwealth Conference. The win also pushed them to an even 6-6 on the season.

The men won 7-2, with five of their points come from forfeited matches.

Erin Ipsen and Eileen Barker put Messiah in the right direction with an 8-0 win in No. 1 doubles. No. 2 Jennifer Kitlan and Ashli Livermore and No. 3 Sydney Schandel and Michelle Curtis followed suit with 8-2 wins, respectively.

The Falcons' dominance continued in singles. Ipsen won 6-0 and 6-2 and Livermore won 6-0 and 6-0 to keep the shutout in tact and Barker (6-4, 6-2), Kitlan (6-3, 6-4) set up unchallenged matches by Schandel (6-1, 6-0) and Britney Hickey (6-1, 6-2).

The women will play their final regular-season match on Saturday when they travel to Lebanon Valley.

On the men's side, Stevenson took No. 1 doubles and No. 2 singles but dropped singles matches to Devin Esch (6-2, 6-1) and Joel Johnson (6-2, 6-3). The other two doubles and five of the singles were forfeited by the Mustangs.

The men moved to 7-6 overall and stayed undefeated in the Commonwealth at 5-0. They will play at Lebanon Valley on Saturday before entering next week's conference tournament as the No. 1 seed.
