Grantham, PA - For the second time in as many matches the Falcons' men's tennis team was edged by a single match, 5-4. This time the defeat came to York College, with the Spartans taking two of the three doubles and three of the six singles to win.
Michael Brookhart and
Tim Dunn (8-4) took the No. 1 doubles but York took the other doubles matches for the early lead. In the singles Brookhart (6-0, 6-1) and Dunn (6-3, 6-2) got the Falcons off to a good start but York rallied once more to take the No. 3, No. 4, and No. 6 matches to win 5-4. Connor Graybeal was the only other Falcon to earn the singles win (No. 5, 6-4, 6-3).
Though now 0-2 in the non-traditional season, the Falcons will look forward the MAC Individuals Championships on Oct. 11 and 12.
