ResultsGrantham, PA - Messiah College lost 8-1 to Juniata on Tuesday, with the Eagles taking all three doubles matches and five of six singles.
The Falcons played close in two of the three doubles match-ups, but
Michael Brookhart and
Tim Dunn (8-5) and Pete Shuck and
Michael Kovacs (8-6) battled hard only to fall just short.
Connor Graybeal took the Falcons' lone singles decision, winning 6-2 and 7-5.
The loss dropped the Falcons to 0-4 in the spring season, though they will turn around quickly to open Commonwealth play on Saturday at Alvernia University. The Falcons are defending conference champions, and they will play six of their next eight matches against conference foes.
