ResultsOwings Mills, MD - Messiah held on to win a tough match this afternoon, 6-3, in a conference showdown against Stevenson University. The Falcons stumbled out the gate in No. 1 singles play as
Michael Brookhart lost 6-2, 6-1.

The Falcons picked their teammate up, however as they would go on to win four of the remaining five singles matches.
Tim Dunn (6-2, 7-5) and
Peter Shuck (7-5, 7-5) battled to earn key victories for Messiah as
Connor Graybeal (6-0, 6-0), and
Michael Kovacs (6-1, 6-1) simply overwhelmed their Mustang counterparts en route to convincing victories.

In doubles play,
Michael Brookhart and
Tim Dunn fought to the end to pull out a huge 9-7 victory for Messiah.
Devin Esch and
Connor Graybeal capped off the day as they were able to coast to a comfortable 8-0 win.

The Falcons improved to 6-6 overall and 5-0 in the Commonwealth with the win, one game ahead of second-place Stevenson. Â They will next take the court on Wednesday, Apr. 22 when they travel to Elizabethtown College for a 4:00 p.m. match.
