Grantham, PA – Messiah simply overwhelmed the Hood Blazers this afternoon, en route to a clean 9-0 sweep. The win secured the Falcons a Commonwealth Tournament birth as the No. 3 seed, which begins this Wednesday, Apr. 29 at 3:30 p.m.
 
Ashli Livermore started things off for Messiah in No. 1 singles, winning easily 6-0, 6-0, followed by a 6-1, 6-0 win from Kelly Hopkins.
 
Messiah would cruise thorough the rest of their singles matches, dropping a combined three games.
 
In doubles play, Livermore and Hopkins notched a convincing 8-1 win with Jennifer Kitlan and Sydney Schandel overmatching their Hood counterparts and cruising to an 8-0 victory.
 
As previously mentioned, Messiah will next play in the Commonwealth Tournament on Wednesday, Apr. 29 beginning at 3:30 p.m. when they take on the No. 2 seeded Alvernia Crusaders. If they advance, they will either face No. 4 Hood College or No. 1 Lebanon Valley College.
