Grantham, PA - A second half rally fueled the Falcons past the Lions of Albright College with a 7-6 victory. Messiah trailed Albright 5-2 at half, when the Falcons went on a four-goal run and secured a 6-5 lead. Albright answered with a goal of their own and tied the game at six. With the game tied, Messiah's
Tyler Goglio found the back of the net with 17 seconds remaining and the Falcons held on for the victory.
With the victory the Falcons improve to 12-4 overall and 7-2 in the Commonwealth. Messiah will next play this Saturday in the Commonwealth Finals against the winner between No. 4 seed Widener Univeristy and No. 1 seed Stevenson University.
The Falcons struck first in the game with an unassisted goal just three minutes into the first quarter. Franken found space for the shot and ripped it past the Albright goalkeeper. Just a minute later, the Lions answered with an unassisted goal from Phillip Potter.
Next, the Lions struck again when Andrew Potter found Ryan Turner and gave Albright the 2-1 lead. Shortly after, Messiah perfected a hidden ball trick and
Dean Patton bolted down the field untouched and scored the unassisted goal to tie the game at two.
After the Falcons trickery, Albright went on a three-goal run with scores from Andrew Potter (2), and Derek Stump to take a 5-2 lead at halftime.
Albright dictated play in the first half and controlled the Falcons offensively and defensively. The second half saw the tables turn as the Falcons came out with intensity and picked up their play.
Messiah began the half by completing a four-goal scoring streak and pulled ahead 6-5. Scorers for the Falcons during the streak were

The Falcons held a 6-5 lead for seven minutes throughout the fourth quarter by playing tough, sound defense. With 3:50 remaining, the Lions found the back of the net with a fast break goal from T.J. Holston and tied the game at six.

Tyler Goglio for the game-winning goal with 17 second remaining.
With the victory the Falcons improved to 12-4, their most victories since 2011 when they also earned 12. In addition, Messiah heads to the Commonwealth Final for the first time since 2011.
