ResultsGettysburg, PA – The Falcons of Messiah College were edged by the Bullets of Gettysburg College 5-4 in the second match of the season. Robin Schwarsmam defeated Kelli Ruben (6-2, 6-4) in the deciding No. 6 singles match and gave the Bullets the victory.

Kelly Hopkins, and
Kaitlyn Russell performed well for the Falcons as they earned victories in singles play.
Messiah dropped two of three doubles matches to the Bullets. The duo of
Ashli Livermore and
Kelly Hopkins picked up the Falcons lone doubles victory by a tight 8-5 score.
Carly Dove and Kaitlyn Russel fell in No. 2 doubles play with a 8-2 score and
Meagan Scala and
Sarah Summerson fell in No. 3 doubles play by a 8-1 final.
The Falcons fell to 0-2 after the defeat and will be back in action this Saturday when they host Penn State Abington at 1:00 p.m.
