York, PA - The Messiah men's tennis team defeated the Spartans of York College on the road tonight 5-4. A very solid team effort, Messiah won four out of six singles matches and picked up one win in doubles.
The lone doubles winner was the duo of
Devin Esch and
Austin Warren winning by a decisive score of 8-2.
At the No. 1 singles spot
Tim Dunn came out on top in a close match 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Devin Esch won at the No. 3 spot 6-2. 6-1 and
Austin Warren at the No. 4 spot 7-6, 7-5.
Alex Mantsevich won his match at No. 5, 6-1, 6-3.
The Falcons will be back this weekend competing in the MAC Individual Championships in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
