Grantham, PA - The Messiah College men's tennis team hosted the Alvernia University crusaders on Saturday afternoon at Criste Courts. The Falcons suffered one loss each in singles and doubles play, but held on for the 7-2 victory.
Tim Dunn suffered both of the Falcons' losses today, with the first coming in doubles play with partner
Connor Graybeal. The duo fought to a tough 6-8 loss, but the duos of
Devin Esch/
Austin Warren and
Dustin Innerst/
Blake Ross each cruised to 8-2 victories over their opponents.
Messiah's other defeat came in the number one single spot as
Tim Dunn fell 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. Dunn won the first set, but couldn't keep the momentum going. Each of the other five Falcons had easy victories, with
Devin Esch contesting the closest match at 6-4, 6-2.
The Falcons next compete on Wednesday when they travel to Frederick, MD to take on Hood College.
