Frederick, MD - The Falcons of Messiah College traveled on Tuesday afternoon to take on the Hood College Blazers. The Falcons all but dominated from the beginning with only one close match on the day.
Doubles play saw each Messiah duo win by a convincing score of 8-1, and singles play was not much different.
Kelly Hopkins competeted in the closest match of the day, winning 6-4, 7-6 (7-3). Every other Messiah competitor won with little trouble, including
Ashli Livermore who took a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles after pairing with Hopkins for an 8-1 No. 1 doubles victory.
Messiah most dominant outing came from
Sydney Schandel who won at No. 5 singles by 6-0. 6-0 scores.
Today's win pushes the Falcons' win streak to four matches, and they will compete next on Saturday at Arcadia University.
