Reading, PA - The Messiah College men's tennis team battled in what was a back-and forth match against the Albright Lions on Wednesday afternoon. Lead by singles victories from Connor Graybeal, Austin Warren, and Blake Ross, the Falcons continued their winning streak to eight matches.

The Falcons won two of the afternoon's three doubles matches, with their only loss coming by ways of a tiebreaker. Tim Dunn and Connor Graybeal played a tight match but were victim of the tie breaker round, losing by a 9-8 (7-2) score. The duos of Devin Esch/Austin Warren (8-3) and Blake Ross/Caleb Hayes (8-0) each had little trouble in their victories.

Singles play is where things got close, with the Falcons and Lions splitting the six matches at three a piece. Each of Messiah's victories were convincing, while the three losses the Falcons suffered each were close. In the number one spot, Tim Dunn won his second set after falling 6-1 in the first, but ultimately lost the third and final set of the match (1-6, 6-4, 2-6). Devin Esch had the same fate, losing by a score of 4-6, 6-2, 2-6, and Caleb Hayes battled through and early tiebreaker but eventually fell 6-7 (6-8), 6-1.

The Falcons will finish the regular season with a match at home against Stevenson on Saturday. The match will pit the top two MAC Commonwealth teams against each other.
