Reading, PA - The Messiah College women's tennis team traveled to take on a MAC Commonwealth foe in the Albright Lions. The Falcons rolled to a 9-0 victory to improve their late season winning streak to six matches.
Sydney Schandel and
Emily Doron highlighted Messiah's doubles play with their 8-0 victory in the number three spot. The duos of
Ashli Livermore/
Kelly Hopkins (8-3) and
Kaitlyn Russell/
Carly Dove (8-2) each had convincing victories of their own.
Messiah never looked back after their strong start in doubles, winning all six singles matches.
Kaitlyn Russell and
Emily Doron each won by dominating scores of 6-0, 6-0, while no other singles match saw Messiah give up more than one point in a match.
The Falcons pushed their record to 9-5 (7-0), and will be back in action tomorrow for a non-conference match at home against Juniata College.Â
