Messiah Places 16th in Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - On day two of the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic Messiah men's golf improved, finishing with a team score of 358. The Falcons finished the event with a combined team score of 686, placing them 15th overall. 

Ryan Kirk built off his solid outing the day prior, shooting 80 overall (+10) on the second day to finish with a combined 168 score (+24). Teammates Josh Hagwell and Bryce Watkins were consistent as well, shooting 88 (+16) and 87 (+15) on the second day of the course. 

Kirk hit a birdie on the 17th hole, only needing three strokes to get the ball in on a par-five hole. Both Watkins and Hagwell shot on-par on four of the final nine holes. 

Sept. 30
Josh Hagwell finished tied for 50th, shooting 83 (+11) on the day. On the front 9, Hagwell shot a birdie on hole five (par-4). Hagwell shot on-par on four of the holes on the back nine. 

His fellow Falcons weren't far behind, with Bryce Watkins shooting 86 (+14) and Ryan Kirk shooting 88 (+16). Watkins shot a birdie on the 15th hole (par-5), with Kirk notching a birdie himself on hole 11 (par-2). 

Dan Wright shot 91 (+19), and Nik Mourelatos shot 101 (+29). Overall Wright shot on-par on seven of the holes. 

The Falcons will be back in action on Oct. 4 at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational.
