GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Messiah women's volleyball team earned a clean sweep for their weekend tournament after defeating Alfred State 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-9) and Hilbert College 3-0 (25-5, 25-5, 25-14) earlier today. Braedyn Gallagher led with 21 kills and five aces over the two matches, and Kate Wilcox played well dishing out 28 assists. Defensively
Amanda Dahlman had 25 digs and overall the Falcons had 12 team blocks in the two games. With the two wins Messiah is now 12-12 overall on the year and take on Arcadia University next Wednesday Oct. 18 at home on Jordan Court. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
Day One
The Messiah women's volleyball team won two matches this evening to begin their weekend tournament in Alfred, NY. They first defeated Houghton College 3-2 (25-16, 25-20, 20-25, 23-25, 15-9) and then Alfred University 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-15).
Mary Underman had 20 kills across the two matches while
Braedyn Gallagher tallied 19.
Lanae Hunsberger also finished the day in double digits on offense with 15 kills.
Jennifer Rusling dished out 65 assists and had 24 digs. Other defensive performances include
Amanda Dahlman with 33 digs,
Heston Cowoski with 20, and
Payton Manwaring had six blocks on the day.
