St. Petersburg, FL - The Messiah College men's golf team opened up their season up at Vinoy Golf Club in St. Petersburg, FL on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons were defeated by the Hope College Flying Dutchmen by a team score of 294-312.

Nate Haney and Bryce Watkins led the Falcons and both carded a 77, while Satchel Johnsen was only one stroke behind shooting a 78. Ryan Kirk and Jordan Kirsch also competed for the Falcons and shot an 80 and 84, respectively.

The Falcons will be back in action on March 30 when they travel to the Lejeune Marine Corps Base and compete in the Marine Federal Credit Union Intercollegiate Golf Tournament. The scheduled tee-off time is 8:20 a.m.
