Carlisle, PA –
Jenna Stover scored a career-high seven goals and No. 11 Messiah women's lacrosse used a dominating performance to earn a road win over Dickinson, 13-4. The Falcons allowed just one goal after the halftime break to secure the victory as they moved to 4-2 this season. Dickinson dropped to 3-4.

Unstoppable Stover
Stover came within one tally of tying the program record for goals in a game, but she nevertheless tallied seven times to both lead the attack and set a new career-best mark. Stover scored four times in the first-half and then opened the last period with three-straight tallies that put the Falcons up 10-3. The crafty senior also handed out an assist on
Stephanie Athens' tally at the end of the first-half, giving her eight total points in the win.
Â
As mentioned, the Falcons' record for goals in a game is eight, and it's held by four players: Rebecca Woodworth (1999), head coach
Heather Greer (1999), Regan Downton (2001), Kayte Hall (2004), and Lizzy Keeney (2014). Stover is the first player to reach seven goals since Keeney did so against Elizabethtown during the 2013 season.
Claire Stikeleather also tallied twice in the win to lead five other scorers.

Limited Turnovers
Another huge highlight for the Falcons—arguably the most important of all—was that they only committed 11 turnovers. That's good for season-low mark, and a major improvement upon their 20 turnover-per-game average over their past three contest. Truly, the trend has been positive since they only gave it away 14 times in their last game prior today, but nevertheless the low total against the Red Devils was a huge factor in their overwhelming hold on possession.
Â
Sweet Ride
Though Dicksinon turned the ball over just 14 times themselves, they were just 8-15 on clear attempts thanks to Messiah's tremendous pressure and defense throughout the midfield.
Ida Ehrhardt and Athens each caused two turnovers, and three other Falcons forced an error.
Â
The Falcons' defense was stellar in front of the cage, too, as they allowed just 13 of the Red Devils' 25 shots to go on cage.
Â
Cagey Veteran
Alexa Dipeso had another tremendous day between the pipes as she collected nine saves. Four of her grabs came on free-position shots, and she helped the Falcons give up just a single goal in the 35:11 of game clock. Dipeso has now collected nine or more saves in all but two of the Falcons' contests this season.
