Elizabethtown, PA - The Messiah College women's tennis team traveled to Elizabethtown to compete in a non-conference match against the Blue Jays. The Falcons dropped eight of their nine matches on Wednesday evening and moved to 7-7 overall.
In doubles play,
Amanda Adams and
Robin Schwarzmann (No. 3 doubles) defeated their opponents 8-5 to pick up the Falcons only victory on the evening.
Kelly Hopkins and
Sydney Schandel (No. 1) dropped a close match, 9-8 (7-3), while
Emily Wichert and
Meagan Scala (No. 2) were defeated 8-1.
In singles action, the Blue Jays swept the Falcons.
Sarah Summerson (No. 6 singles) dropped her first set 6-2, but battled in the second set and lost by a close score of 7-6 (7-3).

Sydney Schandel (2-6, 3-6),
Emily Wichert (2-6, 3-6),
Amanda Adams (1-6, 2-6), and
Robin Schwarzmann (3-6, 2-6) were all defeated by their opponents.
Messiah will be back in action Apr. 27 when they travel to Kings College. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m.
