GRANTHAM, Pa. - Five different players scored to lead No. 1 Messiah to a 6-0 shutout victory over Lebanon Valley. Offense was strong today for the Falcons as they outshot the Dutchmen 29-2 placing 19 shots on goal and they also earned 10 penalty corners compard to just one by their opponent.
Carissa Gehman led the team with two goals while
Kristin Donohue,
Sloane Adams,
Casie Stief, and
Logan Ryan all tallied.
The win extends Messiah's win streak to 31 and they are now 9-0 on the year and 2-0 in the MAC Commonwealth
Offense Explodes
The Falcons were quick to put forth the attack this afternoon recording 17 shots in the first half and allowed just one by Lebanon Valley.
Carissa Gehman had the hot stick early scoring the first goal of the game just six minutes in and then tallied again in the 19
th minute to give Messiah a 2-0 lead.

Just a few minutes later
Sloane Adams connected on an assist from Gehman to extend the Falcon lead 3-0. The offense wasn't done as right before the half
Logan Ryan pushed a goal past the Dutchmen goalie and Messiah went up 4-0.

Second-Half, Smooth Sailing
Scoring four in the first half certainly helped Messiah play with comfort in the second half but they still utilized the momentum to score a couple more goals.
Kristin Donohue was the first to strike just four minutes into the half tallying her third goal of the season and giving Messiah a 5-0 advantage.

The last goal of the game came in the 59th minute when
Casie Stief took a hard shot off a corner that was deflected by a Dutchmen defender for the score. With a nice 6-0 cushion Messiah was able to use their bench and give some players some experience on the field, which speaks to the solid play displayed by the Falcons.

The Falcons next play on Wednesday Oct. 4 when they host Gettysburg College at 7:00 p.m. The Bullets are on a four-game win streak that includes a recent victory on Sept. 23 over No. 19 Ursinus 2-1 in overtime.
