ASHLAND, Va. - Messiah went down 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-18) against the Generals and 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-16) in the second day of te Randolph-Macon Quad. Messiah is now 12-13 on the season with three regular season matches remaining.

Messiah and Randolh-Macon found their selves battling back and forth all the way through the first set with five lead changes. Messiah stayed close with R-MC until late in the set when Randolph-Macon pulled away. In the second set, Messiah saw the better side of an 8-3 lead but R-MC closed the gap, pulling within one, with the score 12-11 in Messiah's favor. The Falcons continued heavy pressure with kills from

Lanae Hunsberger, and
Natalie Marsch that gave them a 17-13 lead. Messiah continued their charge to the finish but R-MC tied things up at 22-22 before taking the set 25-23. Randolph-Macon held the advantage in the third set from start to finish. The Falcons were held to 16 points in this set.
