Back-And-Forth Battle
Wednesday night's match was a back-and-forth battle the entire way through. Despite the Falcons earning 24 of the match's 34 total shots, they were unable to find the back of the net to break open the scoring.
Both sides had chances in the match, with the Falcons having the first quality look off a corner kick with a shot from
Barb Foster that rattled off the crossbar in the 10th minute.
Messiah held a 6-2 advantage in shots in the opening half before ripping 14 attempts in the second-half against six shots for the Knights. The Falcons put six attempts on frame, but the Knights' keeper turned all six attempts away and the game remained scoreless through 90 minutes of play.
Despite four chances for Messiah and two shots from Arcadia during the overtime periods, the match ended in a scoreless draw, the first scoreless draw for Messiah since Oct. 4, 2017 vs. Albright.
