How It Happened
In the first set, the Falcons earned the first five points before giving up a point off an attack error. Messiah continued to dominate the first set, utilizing Lycoming's errors and kills from Payton Manwaring, Hannah Berger, Natalie Marsch, and Kate Preudhomme to pull away to an 18-8 lead. Lycoming made a charge, sparked by a kill and a service ace, to try to make their way back into this set but the Falcons ended their rally and took the first game 25-15.

The second set proved to be a much closer battle but the Falcons started strong, collected kills from Payton Manwaring, Kate Preudhomme, Lanae Hunsberger, and Mary Underman to take a 7-2 lead. Messiah continued to pressure the Warriors but Lycoming fought back, closing the gap on the Falcons with kills of their own. With Lycoming drawing close and Messiah registering a few errors, the Falcons called a timeout with the score at 16-14. This didn't slow down the Warriors as they tied things up at 20-20 with two kills and an error on Messiah. From here, the Falcons maintained the lead, using kills from Payton Manwaring and Lanae Hunsberger to take the set 26-24.

The third set started off in Lycoming's favor as they took a 4-1 lead before Messiah answered back with kills from Kate Preudhomme and Lanae Hunsberger to even the match 4-4. Lycoming earned two more kills before the Falcons went on a 5-0 run, using kills from Payton Manwaring, Lanae Hunsberger, and Kate Preudhomme, giving Messiah the 9-6 lead. The Falcons held the lead through a close battle before the Warriors took a 17-16 lead, forcing Messiah to take a timeout. Out of the timeout, the Falcons went on their second 5-0 run of the game, forcing a Lycoming to talk it over with a quick timeout. The talk proved useful as Lycoming took the lead 23-22 but this would be the end, as Messiah earned kills from Hannah Berger, Jessica Zellers, and Kate Preudhomme to help earn the 26-24 win.
