ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth released the 2017-18 all-conference teams for women's basketball today, and Messiah was decorated with five honors, including Coach of the Year (
Mike Miller).

Alecia Rohrer both received First Team honors and
Leah Springer andÂ
Maci Thornton picked up Second Team recognition.Â
Mike Miller who has led the Falcons to a 24-2 overall record and top seed in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament, picked up the Coach of the Year award for the seventh time in his career. The Falcons are currently ranked No.13 in the nation and No. 2 in the region, which says a lot about Miller's leadership and commitment to this program. Miller will look to lead his team to back-to-back conference titles in their game tomorrow against Albright.
Kaitlyn Hoff picked up her second-straight All-MAC Commonwealth First Team honor in her final season with the Falcons. Hoff has already collected 309 points this season and scored her 1,000 career point against Alvernia on Feb. 3. As a starting point guard, Hoff averages 11.9 points per game and also leads her squad in assists per game (3.9) and total assists (102). She currently leads the conference is assist/turnover ratio (2.2).
Alecia Rohrer received her first All-MAC Commonwealth First Team recognition after receiving back-to-back honorable mention honors in her first two seasons. Rohrer, averages 13.4 points per game and has collected 294 points this season thus far. She leads the conference in rebounding (10.5 rpg), field goal percentage (49.4%), and has collected thirteen double-doubles on the season. Rohrer had a career-high game on Jan. 6 against Widener, in which she collected 21 points and 18 rebounds.
Leah Springer collected her first All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team honor as a sophomore. Springer leads the Falcons in scoring (14.6 ppg) and has collected 380 points already this season. Springer is a major contributor on the glass for Messiah and has collected eleven double-doubles this season and averages 8.9 rebounds per game. On Nov. 11,
Leah Springer had a career-high night tallying 28 points and 15 boards. She helped lead her team to a 78-74 win over Lycoming.
Maci Thornton received her second-straight All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team recognition for both her contributions on the offensive and defensive ends of the court. Thornton has collected 291 points so far this season and averages 11.2 points per game. She leads her squad in three-pointers made (31), steals (56) and steals per game (2.2). Although she plays the guard position, she ranks third on the team in total rebounds (96). Most recently, she collected a season-high of 10 rebounds in the MAC Commonwealth semifinal against Stevenson.
