GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Messiah men's track & field team won the Messiah Invitational today with a total of 152 points. An overall strong showing from the whole team and there were some first-place finishes among the athletes.
Matthew Royer placed first in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:55.23 (9th all-time in program history), and the 1500-meter run proved to be a clean sweep for the Falcons.
Benjamin Schott took first place with a time of (4:00.64) while
Alex Scheib (4:00.92) and
Tyler McFeaters (4:02.92) placed second and third.
Donnell McNair won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 56.59 seconds and
Kirk Mummert finished first in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:05.43.
Brendan Provan had a good showing in the triple jump, winning the event with a mark of 13.44m.
Christian Pavlovich won the javelin with a throw of 59.08m.

- Olufemi Obadina ran in the 100-meter dash and finished fourth with a time of 11.19 seconds, which is 9th in program history. He also finished seventh in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.50 seconds.
- Shane Braunworth (53.17) and Daniel Wood (54.76) finished 10th and 11th respectively in the 400-meter dash.
- In the 5000-meter run, Kyler Shea placed first with a time of 16:05.30 while Nate Romberger (16:18.05) placed third, Zachary Lofties (16:33.17) in fourth, and Kaleb Burch (16:34.54) in fifth.
- Jack Franceschina qualified for MACs in the 800 with a time of 2:02.26.
- In the 4x400 relay Royer, McNair, Caleb Puleo, and Derrick Peterson placed first with a time of 3:28.14.
- Benjamin Danso won first place in the high jump with a PR mark of 1.95m and he took second in the long jump with a mark of 6.43m that was also a PR. McNair tied for third with a jump of 1.78m in the high jump.
- Brett Garbrick competed in the pole vault and cleared the mark of 4.05m for fifth place.
