SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Messiah men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 defeat against the Swarthmore Garnet on Saturday morning. Messiah had their best showing of the day at No. 2 singles where
Jarod Snader claimed four games in a 6-1, 6-3 defeat.

Messiah moves to 0-2 on the fall and will wrap-up the fall portion of their season at the MAC Individual Championships next Saturday and Sunday in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

The Falcons struggled to get much going in doubles play, falling 8-0 in all three matches. As a result, Swarthmore took a commanding 3-0 lead into singles play where they would claim all six matches in straight sets for the 9-0 victory.

As mentioned,
Jarod Snader put together the strongest effort for the Falcons at No. 2 singles, winning four games, including three in the second set. Despite picking up four games, Snader fell 6-1, 6-3 to Swarthmore's Kevin Xu.

At No. 1 singles,
Andrew Bookman claimed a pair of games, but fell 6-1, 6-1 to Grant Dill.
Keller Martin took a game in set two of the No. 6 singles match, but suffered a 6-0, 6-1 setback.
