ANNVILLE, Pa. - On Friday morning the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced the 2018-19 All-MAC Commonwealth and end-of-season awards. Messiah was decorated with two individuals named to the All-Conference teams with
Colin Sareyka and
Matt Glogowski claiming honors. Sareyka earned his second-straight First Team accolade while Glogowski claimed his first career honor with a Second Team nod.

Colin Sareyka finished his junior season as the Falcons leading scorer with 18.0 points per game while shooting 41.8% from the field. His 18.0 points per game was third in the MAC Commonwealth this season. Sareyka scored in bunches this season, tallying 20 games with at least 10 points. The Swedesboro, N.J. native went for at least 20 points on 10 occasions, topped 30 points three times, and scored a season-high 38 points against Ursinus back on Nov. 10, 2018. With a layup in the final seconds against Arcadia on Jan. 12, Sareyka became the 25th member of the Messiah men's basketball 1,000-point club, needing just 66 career games to reach the milestone.

Matt Glogowski capped his sophomore campaign by earning Second Team All-Conference honors for the first-time in his career. The sophomore forward finished the year ninth in the conference in scoring with 15.3 points per game despite missing some time due to injury. Messiah's second-leading scorer finished the year with a 50.2% mark from the field and an impressive 45.9% shooting percentage from beyond the arc. Glogowski was also Messiah's second leading rebounder, grabbing 8.1 boards per contest. The Rockford, Ill. Native got better as the year went on, in his final five games Glogowski collected four double-doubles and went for 20-plus points on three occasions.

The Falcons finished the 2018-19 season with an overall record of 10-15 with a 6-10 mark in the MAC Commonwealth, tying for sixth in the conference.
