ATLANTA, Ga. - On Thursday night, the Women's Basketball Coaches (WBCA) announced the 2018-19 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball All-America team. Alecia Rohrer was among the 10 student-athletes honored on the team while Maci Thornton was one of 30 players named Honorable Mention All-America.

Both Thornton and Rohrer were named First Team All-MAC Commonwealth for their play this season with Rohrer picking up MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year honors as well. Thursday's All-American honors are the first national accolades that the duo has earned in their careers. Earlier this week, both players were named First Team All-Region by D3hoop.com.

Rohrer and Thornton both scored their 1,000th career points this season, becoming the 22nd and 23rd players to do so in program history, respectively. In addition to her scoring prowess, Rohrer became the first player in program history with 1,000 rebounds, setting the program record with 1,017 career boards. This season Rohrer collected 21 double-doubles while averaging 15.0 points and 13.3 rebounds per game. She also blocked 62 shots and snagged 51 steals this season.

Maci Thornton paced the Falcons' offense this season, going for double-figures in each of the Falcons' 30 games this year. She scored at least 20 points in 13 games this season. Thornton only got better down the stretch, scoring 20 or more in nine of the last 15 games of the season. Thornton also grabbed 3.5 rebounds per game while dishing out 10 73 assists and collecting 94 steals on the season.

As mentioned the Falcons went 28-2 on the season, tying the 2002-03 team for the second-most wins in a single season in Messiah program history (30 wins in 2007-08).

During their four years in a Messiah uniform, Thornton, Rohrer, and the rest of this year's senior class collected a cumulative record of 99-16 in 115 career games. An .861 winning percentage.
