HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The University of Wisconsin - La Crosse Eagles handled the Messiah men's tennis to the tune of a 9-0 decision on Thursday morning in Hilton Head. The Falcons won a total of 11 games across the nine matches in the defeat.
The Eagles swept all three doubles matches by scores of 8-0 to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles. Six straight-set victories in singles play carried the Eagles to the 9-0 victory over Messiah.
The Falcons will complete their spring break trip with a match against Macalester College on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m.
How It Happened
The Eagles claimed dominate sweeps over the Falcons in all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead heading into the singles play.
While the Falcons claimed at least one game in all of the singles matches, it was not enough as Wisconsin - La Crosse claimed all six matches in straight sets to earn the 9-0 victory.
Andrew Bookman was the only Falcon to win more than two games, claiming three on court three.
