HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The University of Wisconsin - La Crosse Eagles defeated the Messiah women's tennis by a 9-0 decision on Thursday morning in Hilton Head. The Falcons won a total of 13 games across the nine matches in the defeat.
The Eagles claimed all three doubles matches by scores of 8-2, 8-0, and 8-1 to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles. Six straight-set victories in singles play carried the Eagles to the 9-0 victory over Messiah.
The Falcons will complete their spring break trip with a match against Macalester College on Friday morning at 9:00 a.m.

In singles play,
Emily Wichert and
Amanda Adams put up the best fights, winning four and three games, respectively. At No. 1 singles, Wichert dropped a 6-1, 6-3 decision to Kimberly Steinert while
Amanda Adams fell 6-2, 6-1 to Hayley Clope on court two.
