NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. - The No. 15 Franklin & Marshall Diplomats edged the Messiah men's lacrosse team 21-16 in a neutral site match on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons and Diplomats squared off in a high-scoring, non-conference contest at Iona Prep in New Rochelle, N.Y.
 
The Falcons move to 2-3 on the season and will be back in action next Saturday (Mar. 16) when they travel to Grove City for another non-conference game at 3:00 p.m.
 
The Diplomats led by two at the end of the opening quarter and increased their lead to 10-5 midway through the second quarter. A final push in the opening half, put Franklin & Marshall up 14-7 at the half.
 
After the intermission, Messiah stayed within striking distance, but the Diplomats held a lead for the entirety of the half. Franklin & Marshall led by as many as seven goals before claiming the 21-16 victory over the Falcons.
