ANNVILLE, Pa. - On Monday morning the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced their weekly awards for the week ending Jan. 26. Among the honorees were a pair of Messiah student-athletes with
Eleana Eckley and
Esther Seeland picking up awards. Eckley was named the women's basketball offensive player of the week honor while Seeland was named the conference's track athlete of the week.

MAC Commonwealth Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week - Eleana Eckley
Eleana Eckley went for a career-high on Wednesday against Lebanon Valley with 22 points before upping her career-best mark once against on Saturday against Alvernia with a 27-point performance. Eckley helped Messiah to a 2-0 week while shooting 17-26 from the field and an impressive 12-17 effort from beyond the arc. The sophomore also had seven assists, four rebounds and three steals on the week.

MAC Track Athlete of the Week - Esther Seeland
Esther Seeland won the 400 meter in a time of 59.56 seconds at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational, while also helping Messiah's 4x400 meter relay to the 10th-best mark in the country with a new program record time of 4:02.61. Seeland's 400 time ranks 20th in Division III.
