ANNVILLE, Pa. - On Thursday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference announced the 2019-20 Men's Basketball All-MAC Commonwealth teams and end of season award winners.
Colin Sareyka was the lone Falcon to pick up All-Conference honors this season, claiming Second Team accolades. Sareyka caps off his career as a three-time All-Conference honoree with a pair of First Team honors (2017-18, 2018-19) and this season's Second Team nod.
Colin Sareyka ended his career in Grantham with the seventh-most points in program history with 1,547 points in his career. He earned a Second Team nod on Thursday after finishing his senior campaign with an 18.2 points per game average. Sareyka also grabbed 4.2 rebounds per game while dishing out 115 assists on the year. He also picked up 33 steals while blocking nine shots.
Sareyka shot 42.3% from the field on the year with a 37.8% mark from beyond the arc. In his 23 games started, Sareyka went for double-digits in all but four games, including a season-high 34 points against Bethany-Lutheran on Dec. 28. He also went for thirty-plus on three other occasions, with 32-point performances against Catholic (Nov. 12) and Arcadia (Feb. 1) and a 30-point performance against Wilkes on Dec. 7.
On the season, Sareyka appeared in 23 games. He dished out at least three assists in all but one game, including a season-high nine against nine against Hood College on Jan. 15.  Â
The Falcons finished the 2019-20 season with an overall record of 11-14 with a 4-12 mark in the MAC Commonwealth. Messiah finished the regular season with wins in two of their last three games, picking up victories over Stevenson and Lebanon Valley.
