ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced its weekly award honorees for the week ending on Oct. 17 as three Falcons claimed recognition. Logan Horst (men's cross country), Jennie Young (field hockey), and Lauren Seubert (field hockey) were all honored by the MAC for their performances in last week's competitions.

Logan Horst – MAC Men's Runner of the Week
Horst earns his third MAC Runner of the Week honor of the season and his second-consecutive weekly accolade in as many weeks after leading Messiah to a second-place finish out of 15 teams in the Aubrey Shenk Invitational at Gettysburg College on Saturday morning. The junior runner recorded an 8K time of 26.11.2, placing third out of 168 total runners.

Jennie Young – MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week
Young is recognized as MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week after scoring a total of four goals in Messiah's two conference victories over the past week. Young contributed a tally in the Falcons' 8-0 road win at Hood College on Wednesday afternoon and recorded a career-high three goals in a 6-1 home victory over Eastern University on Saturday afternoon. The senior forward's three-goal game fittingly occurred on Senior Day, completing the hat trick on just five shots. Young upped her season total in goals to nine and now averages 1.85 points per game, ranked second in the MAC Commonwealth.

Lauren Seubert – MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Seubert earns MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week after tallying her first-career goal and anchoring a Messiah defense that allowed just one shot across two contests. Seubert's goal, a penalty stroke effort, was the Falcons' first goal in Saturday's victory over visiting Eastern. Seubert and the Messiah defense did not allow a single shot in the win against Hood, while allowing just one shot against Eastern.
