Five Falcons Named All-Conference for Women’s Volleyball

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Falcons ended their season last week in the MAC Semifinals with a loss to Eastern in a tough 3-2 battle. They finished the year with a 20-9 overall record.
 
On Monday morning, the Middle Atlantic Conference honored their All-MAC Commonwealth Women's Volleyball teams', and five Falcons were honored, three with major awards. Amanda Dahlman was named Defensive Player of the Year, while Mackenzie Feight earned Rookie of the Year as both players were also selected to the MAC Commonwealth First Team.
 
Head coach Holly Motheral earned the other major award, winning Coach of the Year for leading the Falcons to a 20-9 overall record.
 
Kristen Seibert also was given the MAC Commonwealth First Team nod while Chayney Barnhart earned Honorable Mention for the fourth Falcon player to be awarded.
 
Amanda Dahlman picked up her fourth conference honor of her career and her second Defensive Player of the Year Award (2019) in as many seasons as the 2020 season was cancelled. Dahlman had a stellar year for the Falcons, tallying 488 digs (4.69 per set), 81 assists and 30 service aces. She was also named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week three times this season and helped the Falcons on defense to sustained success throughout the season.
 
Mackenzie Feight earned her first conference honor and major award in her first full season in action. The sophomore outside hitter was a force for the Falcons this fall, leading the team in kills with 395 (3.76 per set) as well as finishing second in digs with 333 (3.27 per set). Her ability to finish points in timely situations propelled the Falcons to a postseason appearance. She was also named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week once this season.
 
Kristen Seibert earned her second MAC Commonwealth First Team conference honor of her career (2019) for her efforts on the year. She easily led the Falcons in assists totaling 835 (8.88 per set) on the season. She also tied the team for the lead in service aces with 37. Seibert also added 204 digs (2.17 per set) on the year. Her ability to set up teammates put the Falcons in good situations in matches and contributed to Messiah's strong year.
 
Chayney Barnhart earned her first All-Conference honor in her first year being named Honorable Mention for her strong back half of the season. Barnhart made the most of her opportunities and recorded 138 kills (2.12 per set) on the year as well as 45 blocks (0.69 per set). Barnhart helped the Falcons to an eight-match winning streak late in the season for her efforts.
 
Head Coach Holly Motheral earned Coach of the Year for leading the Falcons to a 20-9 record this season. This is Motheral's second Coach of the Year award, her other major award coming in her first season at the helm of the Falcons in 2016.
