ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced the 2021 All-MAC Commonwealth end-of-season awards on Wednesday as senior forward
Matt Glogowski was named Second Team All-Conference. The Second Team nod is the second of Glogowski's career, earning the honor during the 2018-19 season.
Glogowski concluded his senior season as the Falcons' leading scorer, averaging 13.4 points while shooting 35.8% from the field. The successful 2021 offensive campaign was the senior forward's third season of his career averaging at least double figures scoring. Along with leading Messiah in scoring, Glogowski reeled in a team-high 10.6 rebounds per game, averaging double figures rebounding for the first time in his career.
The Falcons were winners of four out of their last five contests of the season. During that span, Glogowksi averaged a double-double, scoring 13.4 points and grabbing 10.6 rebounds per game. Glogowski's best performance of the season occurred in a road win over Eastern University on Mar. 12. In the 68-62 victory, the senior forward led all scorers with a season-high 23 points while snatching a team-high 12 rebounds. The scoring outburst was the eighth time that Glogowski registered at least 20 points in a game during his career, leading Messiah to consecutive wins for the first time of the 2021 campaign.
With the Second Team honors, Glogowski is just the seventh player in Messiah men's basketball history to earn multiple MAC All-Conference honors.
