GRANTHAM, Pa. – On Wednesday morning, the D3hoops.com All-Region teams were announced for the 2020-2021 season. Among the honorees were a pair of Falcons with Leah Springer being named First Team All-Region and co-Regional Player of the Year while Jayneisha Davis picked up Second Team honors.

For Springer, the Regional Player of the Year honor is the second-straight for her after she was honored with the same award, following the 2020 season. For Davis, this is her first Regional honor, after being named the MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year this season.

As mentioned, Springer claims her second-straight All-Region honor. Earlier this awards season, she picked up her second-straight MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year nod and First Team All-MAC Commonwealth accolade after averaging 15.9 points per game and 9.8 rebounds per game. Both marks led the Falcons in a pandemic shortened season. Springer finished the year with seven double-doubles in the Falcons' 11 contests, while recording a double-double in the final four games of the season. She was also named the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week on Feb. 22 and Mar. 15.

For Davis, the All-Region honor is the first accolade of her career outside the conference. After being named Second Team All-MAC Commonwealth last season, she was named the MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-MAC Commonwealth this season. She picked up Conference Player of the Week honors on Mar. 22 and was named the MAC Commonwealth Tournament MVP. Davis was second on the team with 14.9 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game while recording two double-doubles. She also recorded an incredible 46 steals in the 11-game season for an average of 4.2 per game, with a season high of eight against Stevenson on Feb. 19. She also tied for the team lead in assists with 34.

Springer, Davis, and the Falcons finished the season with a perfect 11-0, including their fifth-straight MAC Commonwealth Championship with a 60-45 victory over Widener on Mar. 18.
