GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Hood Blazers brought three players to Grantham on Saturday for an exhibition match with the Messiah men's tennis team. The Falcons earned an 8-1 victory, claiming an 8-4 win in the only doubles match contested and straight-set, 6-0, 6-0 victories from
AJ Swanson and
Casey Rossel at No. 2 and No. 3 singles.
Messiah used the match as an oprotunity to moves some people up in the line-up.
Connor Rose and
Michael Niemi teamed up to earn an 8-4 victory over Hood's Ben Deeleo and Jake Stubits at No. 1 Doubles. In singles play, Messiah earned quick 6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 2 and No. 3 singles with
AJ Swanson defeating Jake Stubits on court two and
Casey Rossell topping Tobi Aroloye on court three.
Ben Deleo picked up Hood's lone point on the day with a 6-3, 6-7 (0), 11-9 victory over
Connor Rose at No. 1 singles.
The Falcons will be back in action on Tuesday when they travel to DeSales University for a non-conference match against the Bulldogs beginning at 3:30 p.m.
