YORK, Pa. - The Messiah women's tennis team dropped their season finale to the No. 1 York College Spartans 5-0 in the semifinals of the MAC Commonwealth tournament. The Falcons had a number of close matches, but the Spartans were too much to handle. The Falcons finish their season with an overall record of 4-7 and a 2-4 mark in the conference.

Doubles Play
Messiah dropped all three courts to York in doubles play, however the Falcons delivered some hard fought matches. On courts one and two, the Falcons fell 8-6 in each, which allowed the Spartans to take a 3-0 lead heading into singles.

Singles Play
York claimed court one singles to give them a 4-0 lead. On court six, Hannah Olson put up a great fight against Morrisey Walsh in the first set. They were tied 5-5, but Walsh was able to win the final two games to give her the 7-5 set victory. Walsh came away with the 6-1 set two victory to give York a 5-0 win over the Falcons.

As mentioned, the loss wraps up the Falcons season with an overall record of 4-7. They will return to the courts for the 2021-22 campaign.
