ANNVILLE, Pa. – On Monday, the Middle Atlantic Conference announced the 2021 MAC Commonwealth All-Conference teams. Among the student-athletes honored by the conference was junior attacker
Sam Stone from Messiah.
Stone was named Second Team All-Conference after leading the Falcons with 20 goals and 31 points on the season.
The Second Team honor is the first All-MAC Commonwealth honor of Stone's career.
After scoring two goals and assisting on four others across his first two seasons in Grantham, Stone broke out with 20 goals and 11 assists during the shortened 2021 campaign. Stone was named the MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week after scoring five goals and assisting on one other against Wilkes on Mar. 13. The game was his highest offensive point total, but Stone put together three games with at least five points while also collecting at least one point in every game. Stone collected multiple points on eight different occasions this season, including the first six games of the year.
