Four Falcons Earn All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. – On Monday afternoon, the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced their All-Region honorees for the 2022 NCAA Division III Cross Country season. Among the 350 men that were honored were four from Messiah. Louka Fetter, Logan Horst, Andrew Hutchinson, and Josiah Moyer were celebrated with All-Region honors after finishing in the top-35 at this weekend's Mid-Atlantic Region on Saturday.
 
On Sunday, Andrew Hutchinson and Logan Horst were announced as part of the NCAA Division III National Championship field that will race on Saturday, Nov. 19 in East Lancing, Mich.
 
Andrew Hutchinson was Messiah's top finisher at the Mid-Atlantic regional, finishing in sixth place in a time of 25:21.0. It was his first race of the season as Messiah's top finisher. Logan Horst has secured the top spot for the Falcons most of the year, including his first-place finish at the MAC Championship at the end of October to be named the MAC Runner of the Year. Horst took 10th place at the Regional in a time of 25:31.4.
 
Louka Fetter capped off an impressive first year with the Falcons by finishing in 21st place at the Regional in a time of 25:55.7 to earn an All-Region honor. Josiah Moyer claimed Messiah's fourth All-Region with a 35th-place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Regional in a time of 26:28.7.
 
As mentioned, Hutchinson and Horst will head to Michigan for the NCAA Division III National Championship at the Forest Akerst East Golf Course in East Lancing on Saturday. The race is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
