AUSTIN, Texas – On Tuesday afternoon, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their Academic All-Americans for Division III women's soccer. Among the honorees was Messiah's
Rachael Tirjan, who claimed a Third Team nod thanks to her 3.99 cumulative GPA and her quality play on the pitch.
Tirjan helped Messiah advance to their 14th Final Four in program history where they finished the season as a National Semifinalist. Tirjan was in the center of the action, leading the Falcons with 13 goals while dishing out eight assists, the most on the team in both categories. Just two weeks ago, Tirjan was named Academic All-District from CSC and this week earns her first career Academic All-American honor with her Third Team honor on Tuesday.
This season, Tirjan was named the MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Year while also claiming her second-straight First Team All-Conference laurel. Tirjan also claimed the First Team All-Region from United Soccer Coaches after her strong senior season.
In the classroom, Tirjan carries a 3.99 cumulative GPA as a Biology major.
