AUSTIN, Texas - On Thursday afternoon the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA) announced the 2021-22 Academic All-District Teams for men's and women's basketball. Among the honorees was Messiah forward

A graduate student studying Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership, Springer holds a 4.00 cumulative GPA in graduate school. She completed her undergraduate Economics degree in 2020, while holding a 3.97 cumulative GPA.
The Camp Hill native was named both a First Team Academic All-District and First Team Academic All-American by CoSIDA last season.
In both her senior season (2019-20) and last year (2021), Springer was named an All-American by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA), the Regional Player of the Year by d3hoops.com, the MAC Commonwealth Player of Year, and First Team All-Conference. Additionally, in the 2017-18 season Springer earned Second Team All-MAC Commonwealth honors during her sophomore season.
This year, Springer helps lead a Falcons' team that holds an overall record of 20-2 and a 14-1 mark in the conference. She's averaging a team-high in both points per game (18.1) and rebounds per game (11.0) while collecting a dozen double-doubles on the season so far. She has dished out 74 assists while blocking 13 shots and grabbing 31 steals on the year.
Springer and the Falcons wrap-up the regular season on Saturday with a MAC Commonwealth contest against the Widener Pride on the road. The Falcons have already locked up the top seed in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth Tournament that takes place next week. Messiah will be hosting the quarterfinals on Wednesday on Jordan Court in Hitchcock Arena against an opponent to be determined.
