Noah Barrall took the mound for the Falcons this afternoon on an overcast and windy day in Grantham and Rowan kicked off the game with a bang scoring 8 runs in the first. After a leadoff single and a walk, a double over the head of left fielder Kasey Caras brought in the first run of the day for Rowan. After a sac fly followed by an error from Dustin Isonaugle, Rowan jumped out to an early 3-0 lead. After a walk with the bases loaded, that was it for Barrall, who threw 36 pitches in 1/3 inning as Messiah called in Drew Dellinger in relief with the bases still loaded for Rowan. Another walked in run in addition to two-run double and a sac fly later, the Profs held an 8-0 lead after the final out was recorded. The top half of the first lasted 25 minutes.

The Falcons got on the board in the bottom of the second with a leadoff solo home run from Kasey Caras over the right field wall to make the score 9-1 Profs. After a couple quick innings, the Profs still led 9-1 heading into the fourth inning. The Profs tacked on five more runs in the fifth inning in increase the lead to 14-1. Messiah would then call on Paul Hansel in relief after Dellinger's 4 1/3 innings pitched.

The Falcons threatened in the bottom half of the inning loading the bases with one out and would plate two runs. One on a fielder's choice on a ball hit by Jarrett Gordon and one on a wild pitch to make the score 14-3 Profs after five. The Falcons would also load the bases in the sixth with one down as well, this time getting a run via a walk by Mason Valentino. Messiah pushed across another run with a Clayton Roberts single and another wild pitch to cut the deficit to 14-6 at the end of the sixth inning.

Reed Wagner led off the seventh inning with a walk and later advanced to third on a throwing error on a failed pick-off attempt. Ryan Friend singled up the middle to bring Wagner in for the Falcons seventh run of the day.
