The Messiah men's volleyball team claimed a pair of sweeps over the Eastern Eagles, 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-23), and Misericordia Cougars, 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-14), to win their 14th and 15th-straight victories. With the wins, Messiah improves to 17-3 on the season and 8-0 in the conference this year.

The Falcons have another test coming up as they host the Stevenson Mustangs on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. on Jordan Court in Hitchcock Arena. Messiah just swept the Mustangs this past Wednesday, but will look to complete the season sweep of their southern rival.

Messiah defeats Eastern - 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-23)
The Falcons started their day with a dominating sweep of the Eastern Eagles, hitting .507 in the match. Messiah took double-digit leads to the first two sets before winning them by scores of 25-17 and 25-16. In the third set, the Falcons needed to battled out of a 20-17 hole late, but ended the match on an 8-3 run to claim the set 25-23 and the set 3-0.

Mason Nissley led the Falcons with 14 kills and a .591 hitting percentage while the Falcons' middles were stellar with
Adam Casper (six kills, .857 hitting percentage),
Nate Bowman (five, .444), and
Ryan Givens (three, 1.000) controlling the Falcons' attack.

Jared Keul dished out a match-high 27 assists while the Falcons earned eight service aces in the match.

Messiah defeats Misericordia - 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-14)
Their second-match of the day was slightly closer, with Misericordia earning 20 points in both the first and second sets. The Falcons then closed out the sweep with a 25-14 performance in the third set while hitting .765 in the set to earn their 15th sweep of the season.

Once again it was Nissley leading the Falcons with 13 kills in the match. He swung at a .320 hitting percentage on the day while
Ryan Givens was the most potent attacker with five kills on seven attempts (.714 hitting percentage).
Matt Knab handed out 25 assists in the match.

Messiah earned 10 service aces as a team thanks to four from Nissley, and three from both
Conner Stauffer and
Matt Knab. In addition to his three aces, Stauffer also picked up match-high nine digs.

The Falcons return home for the first time in over a month with a home match against the Stevenson Mustangs on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The Falcons will play back-to-back with another conference match against Widener on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. Both matches will be played on Jordan Court in Hitchcock Arena.
