ELIZABETHTOWN, PA - The Messiah men's volleyball team took care of the Elizabethtown Blue Jays late Friday night, winning 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-23). Mason Nissley led the team in kills with 11 while Conner Stauffer and Jacob Hamm each had 10. Nissley also added 10 digs. 

Messiah will play again on March 16 when they travel to Widener to face the Pride. 

Messiah Wins 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-23)
Messiah jumped out to a dominant 17-4 lead in the first set and cruised to a first set victory 25-13. Messiah hit an impressive .563 in the first set with nine team kills, five service aces and three blocks. 

The second set was more competitive than the first, with E-Town earning an 8-4 lead early. Messiah would tie the game at 10-10 and 12-12 before going on a 6-0 run to increase the lead 18-12. The Falcons held the lead and the set to win 25-18. Messiah led 2-0 after two sets. 

The third set was the closest of the match, with Messiah prevailing at 25-23. Highly contested throughout, no team had a lead of more than four in the final set. E-Town held a lead at 23-22 but Messiah won the next three points to win the set 25-23 and the match 3-0. 

Stats
Mason Nissley led the team in kills and digs with 11 and 10 respectively while also adding six service aces. Conner Stauffer and Jacob Hamm each added 10 kills on the night. Matt Knab led the team in assists with 35. 

As as team, Messiah had 43 kills, 41 assists, nine service aces and 12 blocks. The Falcons hit .421 overall in the match.

The win brings the Falcons record to 11-3 overall. They will travel to Chester, Pa to take on the Widener Pride on March 16 at 7:00 PM.
