YORK, Pa. - The Falcons were unable to muster a run in a 13-0 setback against the York Spartans on Friday afternoon. The Messiah baseball team collected five hits while York knocked 16 hits in the double-digit victory.
The Spartans scored two in the first and built a 6-0 lead after four frames. A six-spot in the bottom of the fifth, doubled the Spartans lead en route to the 13-0 victory.
With the loss Messiah falls to 17-16 overall on the season and 7-5 in the MAC Commonwealth. The Falcons have a non-conference doubleheader with the Elizabethtown Blue Jays coming up on Saturday afternoon, beginning at 12:00 p.m.

Evan Wagaman led the Falcons, reaching base three times with a base hit and a pair of walks. Five different Falcons collected base hits in the contest, with
Mason Valentino smacking the lone Messiah extra base hit with a double in the fifth inning.
For the Spartans, Andrew Santarpia went 4-4 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored. Austin Denlinger led York with three RBI while going 2-6 at the dish with a triple and a run scored.
