PSU Harrisburg Bests Messiah 5-1

MIDDLETOWN, PA - Men's tennis dropped their match to PSU Harrisburg 5-1 this afternoon. Court three doubles of E. Martin/Niemi were the lone court to win for the Falcons. Three singles matches were not able to finish due to rain which shortened the conclusion of the match. 

Doubles
Wilson/Rose played a great match on court one going game for game with PSU Harrisburg but fell short 6-8. On court two, Gingerich/Sell lost 3-8. The No. 3 doubles team of E. Martin/Niemi would prove to be the only winners for the Falcons on the day, winning their pro-set 8-6 to cut the deficit to 1-2 after doubles play.

Singles
Chase Wilson fell on court one 0-6, 1-6 while Connor Rose dropped his match on court two by a score of 4-6, 3-6. Michael Sell was the other Falcon who was able to finish their match on court three, losing 0-6, 5-7. Josh Gingerich was in the middle of a 10-point tiebreaker after splitting sets before the rain started to come down in Middletown, Pa. Gingerich's scoreline was 6-7(7), 7-6(6), [6-7-unfinished]. Ellis Martin and Michael Niemi also did not finish their matches due to the rain. Martin had lost the first set 3-6 and was down 1-2 in the second set on court five, while Michael Niemi was tied 3-3 in the first set.
