HOBOKEN, N.J. - The Messiah men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-20) match against the Stevens Ducks on Saturday night in the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship. Messiah held a late lead in the opening set, but could not close out the game allowing Stevens to clinch a 1-0 lead. From there, Stevens did not look back controlling the second set, 25-15, and capping off the Championship with a 25-20 victory in the third.
Â
The Falcons advanced to the MAC Championship Match for the second time in program history after defeating Stevenson in the 2021 Championship last season. With the victory, Stevens advances to the NCAA Tournament by way of the Automatic Qualifier from the MAC. Messiah will have to wait and see if they have earned a coveted at-large bid to the Tournament, however the odds are extremely slim after the Falcons were not ranked in the Regional Rankings in the first three weeks. The NCAA Selection Show will air on ncaa.com on Monday, Apr. 11 at 10:00 a.m.
Â
Messiah concludes a stellar 2022 campaign with an overall record of 20-6 and a MAC Runner-Up finish. The Falcons' 20 victories set a new program record for victories in a single season.

Concluding the Season
