TEMPE, Ariz. – Last week, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the recipients of the 2022 Division III Men's and Women's ITA Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams. Among the student-athletes and teams honored were both of the Messiah tennis programs and a total of 15 Messiah student-athletes.

For a team to be named an ITA All-Academic Team, the program must have a team grade point average of 3.20 or better for the previous academic year. As mentioned, both the men's and women's tennis teams earned the honor. The women carried a 3.80 GPA and were one of 125 NCAA Division III women's tennis teams to earn the accolade. While the men finished the year with a 3.21 team GPA and were also one of 125 teams to pick up the honor in Division III.

Individually, the Falcons had 15 student-athletes named ITA Scholar Athletes, holding at least a 3.50 GPA for the 2021-22 academic year. The women's team had nine representatives while the men had six.
