Messiah beats Scranton 3-1 (25-27, 25-17, 25-22, 25-19)
In the second match of the day for Messiah, host of the Invitational Scranton was on deck. Scranton took the first set in a back and forth affair with neither team generating more than a three point lead. Scranton would prevail taking the first set 27-25. Messiah rebounded with a 25-17 win in the second set after opening up the set up 15-7. In the third set, Messiah held a 12-7 lead and continued with a 20-13 lead later on. Scranton was able to rally back but Messiah closed the door and took the third set 25-22. In the fourth set, it was Scranton who started with a 11-6 lead but Messiah came back to take a 19-17 lead which prompted a Scranton timeout.
