GRANTHAM, PA. - The Golden Wolves held the lead for the entire night as the Falcons dropped a conference matchup to Alvernia 66-55. Tyler Penley had a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds, both of which were team highs.

The Falcons will host Lebanon Valley this Saturday on Jan. 14 at 6:00 PM in Grantham, Pa.

The Golden Wolves held the early lead at 12-3 before the Falcons called a timeout just under four minutes into the game. The Falcons rallied back and found their offensive stride before the halfway point of the first half, bring the game to within two with 11 minutes to go in the half. Alvernia stretched that lead to 11 to lead 23-12 with over six minutes to go. Alvernia continued to build on that lead and took a 37-23 lead into the break.

Alvernia held on to an 11 point lead with just over 14 minutes remaining 40-29 in a low scoring first six minutes of the second half. The Golden Wolves continued to hold a commanding lead as the Falcons tried to pull something together but fell short. Alvernia won 66-55.

Tyler Penley earned his third double double of the season with 21 points and 14 boards, both team highs. Tim Edwards added 19 points on the evening. The Falcons shot 31% from the floor and 31% from three as well.

The loss takes the Falcons to 8-7 and 3-3 in the conference. The Falcons will host the Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 6:00 PM on Jordan Court in Hitchcock Arena for their next conference tilt.
